Artfoamies Meet the Gelli Plate and Upcoming iStencils Sale

Hello again! I'm back as promised, so far so good with my New Year's resolution to post at least once a month on my blog! Yay me!

We are closing in on a date for my next iStencils release! This will come with a discount coupon code or all my viewers and subscribers to take advantage of the entire iStencils website, well over 3,000 designs! My focus on this launch is a new series made especially for the 8" round gelli plate. Of course they can be used on any of the gelli plates or for any other application you would use any stencils for, these just happen to fit the 8" round perfectly. I've also come out with a couple mixed media masks which is pretty exciting. This may happen as early as next weekend, so stay tuned. I'll announce the timing as soon as we confirm the sale dates here on my blog as well as Facebook and Twitter. This is a good time to take advantage of a great sale that only comes around a few times a year. So stay tuned so you don't miss out.

I streamed last Sunday and focused on playing with some new Artfoamie stamps. These stamps are even better than I imagined they would be. Really crisp images and they hold acrylic paint so well you can get multiple prints out of one 'inking'. They are great on the gelli plate too. Check out my YouTube video that I uploaded from the live Ustream broadcast. Here are some pics of my favorite gelli prints from this session:

This is a close up of some really yummy crusty bits on deli paper that I used to pick up a ghost print, then used Daddy Van's All Natural Beeswax Furniture Polish to make the deli paper translucent. This is great for collage fodder. Check out Shannon Green's recent video demo of Daddy Van's, which includes a coupon code for her viewers to get a great discount on your next purchase of Daddy Van's.

This is a ghost print using one of the feather artfoamies.

Love this patina print of the feather artfoamies.

This was one of my stamping off deli papers where I stamped the excess paint the artfoamies were picking up off my gelli plate.

My favorite print of the day -- patina print with the Julie Fei Fan Balzer Artfoamie stamp of numbers.

A cool clean up print from the paint leftover from the patina print shown above.

This was a ghost print using one of Julie Fei Fan Balzer border artfoamies with some Pebeo Studio Acrylic DYNA Color Iridescent paint in Green/Yellow. YUM!

This was another ghost pulled on black bond paper. Really makes the Pebeo's pop.

First pull on deli with multiple impressions of Julie's border stamp. I love the blend of the Pebeo Green/Yellow with their Oriental Purple. Makes a pretty pinky bronze color where they meet.

Stamping off on deli, love these feather stamps.

Look what a crisp image you can get with these stamps. This was a piece of deli I was using to stamp off the excess paint when making the print shown above this one. Nothing is a waste when you can get images like this.

I'm planning to stream live again this Sunday around Noon Eastern, so check out my Ustream channel to be alerted when I schedule an event or go live at any time. Once you get to my channel, just click 'follow' and you will be alerted when there is any activity. Join us live and participate in the chat with lots of other artists of all levels as we laugh, learn, and share information about new products and resources.

Happy Arting!

Playing with PTP Stencils & PTP Elements Stamps

Hey all!

I've been prepping for my upcoming project in Cloth Paper Scissors later this year and making gelli prints to beat the band. I think I actually witnessed sparks flying off my brayer! LOL  I thought I'd share some of the prints I've recently made using my Patti Tolley Parrish Stencils along with my PTP Elements Red Rubber Stamps.  I really do like the layering effect you get when you use the stamps over a gelli print using the same design elements. You can see examples scattered thru the following piles of prints. These are all double sided by the way. They will become pages in my Gelli JumpStart Journals for CPS.

The next three pics are a technique I'm calling Patina prints. They remind me of the natural patina that develops on metals exposed to the elements over time. Close up, these really do look like that.

The next two prints I'm including just because I like them! The first is an example of the Gelli Arts wipe out technique, and the last one is just showing why I love Pebeo Studio Acrylics. This print has Pebeo Green Yellow mixed in with other green acrylics .

Another surprise coming your way! (Its a giveaway!)

Long time no post! I've been really busy lately with all sorts of stuff. Mostly good, some not so good, but things seem to be settling down a bit -- well, enough for me to go sniffing around my gelli plate and playing just a wee bit (that was in honor of St. Patrick's Day!) Prints to follow -- but first --

iStencils and I are partnering to do a giveaway! I recently exceeded both my personal goals for subscribers to my YouTube Channel (200+) and my blog (100+) and decided to do a giveaway. What I haven't decided is how to choose a winner. I have decided that the winner will be chosen from those of you who are signed up to follow both my blog and my YouTube Channel. I've never done one of these before. Still working out the process. Not to worry, I'll come up with something and very soon. Now -- what to giveaway??? That's the question! iStencils has graciously offered to sponsor my giveaway and they are sending me some of my favorites stencils to share with the lucky winner. As for my part, I'm leaning toward a pack of my gelli notecards and matching envelopes, and maybe a tube or two of my favorite Pebeo paints as my part of the giveaway. More to come so please stay tuned!

Now, onto my printing madness from the other night! You'll notice I was on a turquoise/orange/brown kick, one of my favorite color combinations. Here we go:

 Can you say Pebeo shimmer???

This is one that got away from me and went from really nice to way too busy. So I added that pop of black, now I think its much more pleasing to the eye -- at least to my eye!

I got a couple new crackle pattern stencils and LOVE them. I was going for a pop of shimmer instead of a pop of black on this one since I had some dark brown already in the print.

This started out as one of my clean up papers, but ended up one of my favorites after I cleaned off the remaining black paint on my Mayan Calendar stencil.

What can I say - orange and turquoise, Pebeo shimmer, and a pop of black! Yum!

 Lovin' that crackle!

Another one that went a little crazy, but better with the black reverse print.

Another clean up paper that survived!

I hope you enjoyed this flurry of color - and hoping this is the last flurry of the season since today is the LAST day of winter! YAY!

Please remember to join my blog if you haven't already and subscribe to my YouTube Channel. I will be picking the winner of my giveaway from those that are signed up for both!

Happy crafting!
