Its been so busy lately I haven't had the chance to break out my gelli plate in a couple weeks! What's up with that??? The reasons are mostly good. I was away the last weekend of April attending Art & Soul Retreat in Virginia Beach. We had a great time and learned some really fun stuff. Work has been really busy too -- yes, I have a real job! Thank God - that's the only way I can feed my art habit! Plus, I'll be traveling for work four times over the next 7 weeks. That leaves me very limited time to make a new video or create something worth posting about. Sooooo, I thought -- self -- what could I do on the road that won't take me much time but would still benefit my blog followers and my YouTube subbies??? Then I heard that voice in the back of my head say -- DO ANOTHER GIVEAWAY YOU IDIOT! Well, Oprah has always said to listen to that little voice, so guess I'd better do just that!
Cheri from iStencils was very generous with the stencils she sent me last time when we introduced our last coupon code and some of her new 3D designs. In fact, she sent me doubles of all the new designs. Now I am a big ole stencil-ho, but honestly...do I really need duplicates??? One could argue that either way, but I thought I'd be nice and share with my peeps!
Here's how this one will work -- you will need to join my blog AND leave me a comment on this post telling me why you simply cannot live without some new iStencils (AND, it wouldn't hurt your chances to be a subbie on my YouTube Channel, although, that's not a requirement this time). Including YouTube was a lot of work the last go round! Its much easier to work the giveaways from my blog where I actually see all my members on the back end of my account - learned that one the hard way! But remember, I'm really not all that smart! I think I have 8 duplicate iStencils, so I'm thinking more than one winner??? Let's say two winners will get 4 stencils each! AND the most unique, outrageous, and clever comments will be the winners! I won't judge this alone, I'll rope in a couple friends to put in their two cents as well.
The Mojo25 coupon code was a huge success for iStencils. I'm so happy so many of you were able to take advantage of such a great offer. I'm sure there will be another one sometime in the near future.
The giveaway entry fun will begin when you see this post published and shared on FaceBook. I'll be traveling starting Saturday, so I'll probably announce the winner sometime over the Memorial Day weekend. That's the last weekend of May for you all that live out of the US.
So goodbye for now from Chicago!
Good luck!
Patti

Lordy, Lrdy M Patti has way toooo many stencils! She's giving some away! Yeah! Seeing that I have a birthday coming this Sunday winning a give away like this would be the bestest present ever! Then my collection will grow too...love the 3D ones! Happy Monday!
ReplyDeleteInteresting Saranne! And you were the first to respond, so that has to mean something, right??? Happy Birthday!
DeleteI'd love to win some istencil goodness! aimeslee at gmail dot com
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteOh yeah, I'm still enjoying my stencils from the two discounts you told us about. The istencils are great and I wouldn't have known about them if it wasn't for you. I'm on your blog, YouTube and Facebook. Would love to win!
ReplyDeleteCool Carol. Glad you found me and iStencils! Thanks for keeping up with me.
DeleteAbsolutely can't have too many iStencils, love them!! My heart just fluttered with excitement reading your blog..hope I win!
ReplyDeleteThanks Marianne, good luck!
DeleteWell, I already am a subbie on your You Tube channel and look forward to when you can do another one! Why should I be the lucky recipient of the iStencil? Because I too, am a stencil ho and you inspire me to get in that studio and do something! Sure, it would be way cooler to say that I should get one because I am an artistic genius and I will do something with them that no one has thought of...but, that isn't the case! I just want, want, want more!
ReplyDeleteHoping I win...
Paula
Good answer Paula! From one stencil ho to another!
DeleteI just got a gelli plate and have a few stencils but I love using them in my prints. I tried to make my own stencil with a stencil burner but it just looked bad with the frayed edges, then I tried an exacto knife and that worked a little better. Stencils are so expensive- I got a rock stencil size 3x3 and it was $6.00. The larger ones are more expensive. But they are very fun to use! Thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteGlad you got a gelli plate! So much fun using stencils on them. That's my favorite way to use it, as I'm sure you can tell!
DeleteMy dearest Patti,
ReplyDeleteI have a gelli plate, thanks to your videos making me want one and I have some stencils, thanks to you also! I don't know if I am a stencil ho, or if I am just really really good at hoarding! But the more I watch your videos, the more I play and the more stencils I want! Thanks to you I am an addict:) And I hope there is no cure! LOVE your videos and your unique personality!
Thanks so much, what a great note. I would apologize for taking you down with me, but its so much fun I can't. I'll be the one in the poor house with the most stencils! LOL Keep printing!
DeleteHello iStencils, my new friend
ReplyDeleteI've come to Gelli plate with you again
Because a blank sheet of cardstock is softly creeping
Hoping Pebeo shimmers are oft repeating
And the vision that was planted in my brain
Still remains
Within the You Tube videos – from Patti
In restless art supply stores I walked alone
Narrow aisles of mixed Pantone
'Neath the halo of an 8 x 10 plate
I turned my brayer to roll the paint
When my eyes were stabbed by the flash of a neon light
Pebeos and Martha Stewart craft acrylics, that’s right
And touched the joy of Gelli
Okay, so apologies to Simon and Garfunkel and their lovely song the Sound of Silence.
Thanks for the chance to win some stencils Patti - I look forward to your next video! You're the best!
oops - forgot to include my ID here as your blog member: Karen A
Deletewow - what a hoot! I love your ode to gelli plate printing with iStencils and Pebeos.
DeleteOMG! I love it! Now that's what I call unique and clever! Thanks so much for stopping by!
DeleteCongratulations! Nice entry!
DeleteCongrats Karen! You are one of my winners! Please send me your address and I'll get the stencils on the way to you!!! Enjoy!
DeleteAnother big fan here! I'm following you every where! I bought a ton of stencils from your last go-round too and would be thrilled to win and add some new ones to use with my brand new gelli plate..what a wonderful offer :)
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for keeping up with me. I'm sure you'll have so much fun with your gelli plate!
DeleteAND I can't live a day without stencils! It's an addiction and I need more, more, more!
Deleteoh my dear Patti! I already have tons of stencils - including many iStencils - which I adore. I feel a bit greedy commenting here hoping to get even more stencils - but I'm ok with greed in this case. Please please make a new video soon (hey how about a short one...). I have recently been printing on tissue paper with the gelli plate to use for collage and its so beautiful and almost completly transparent.
ReplyDeleteYou sound so busy - hey girl take care of yourself with some downtime once in awhile.
Thanks so much Melanie! I'll try to make another video really soon. I thought about doing a 'short' haul video from my recent trips to DickBlick and Utrecht's in Chicago. I'm in Chicago now, going home tomorrow night. Can't wait to see my hubby and Mojo and Babe. I miss all three of the little rascals!
DeleteI'm a fan and subscribe to your YouTube and blog. I have a few stencils and would love some more! thanks!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by Connie! More stencils is always a good choice!
DeleteLet me start off by saying that I think you are by far one of the most GENEROUS persons I have come across in a very long time, so a very big thank you. That being said, I'd love to win some stencils. Stencils are by far one of my favorite things to use in journaling as I am not very good at drawing.
ReplyDeleteOn a recent visit to D.Downey's studio on a supply shop, I commented that they should start carrying iStencils in their shop. I have mentioned you and your work on a few occasions.
Thanks again for your wonderful generosity.
I love Donna Downey! I've never been to her shop, but I've taken her classes both times she's been to the Queen's Ink. Thank you for such a sweet note, much appreciated. Good luck!
DeleteI cannot lie....I am an IStencil hoarder. I love them, have to have them and will do anything to get them. If I do not win your most gracious give-a-way, I will find another way. I think an intervention is needed asap. Thanks for the opportunity.
ReplyDeletesuzschultz23@aol.com
Be careful Suz! The stencil police may be watching you!
DeleteHello my name is Sara and I am addicted to stencils! All shapes and sizes. LOL! I must say that I also have an OCD tendency when it comes to my stencils... I must always know that they are all there, so I will count them and I have a hard time letting others touch them! LOL! I have no idea why... it's not like they would steal them! Anyways, I love my stencils! They get used a lot, for just about everything!
ReplyDeleteThanks for a chance to win some more beauties to add to my collection!!! You are fabulous and I just love creations! Have a fabulous and safe time traveling!!!
Thank you Sara! Love your note. Stencils could easily be the cause of a good old fashioned bar brawl! Ha. I really appreciate your nice note. Glad you are here.
DeleteOh my gosh! Out of town. I am having withdrawals! I need your videos to keep me sane! Yeah like your videos are gonna help! When you gonna retire and get serious about my addiction? Maybe istencils signed by you would hold off having me committed! Have a glorious day!
ReplyDeleteLOL! Thanks for the great note. Retire? Oh I hope I live long enough to retire! Now that would be glorious! Thankfully, I love my job, so that makes it less painful!
DeleteWell, I have certainly learned a heck of a lot about using stencils with my Gelli plate by watching your videos. I can't say I am a stencil-ho but I could call myself a stencil-gigolo! I have begun my spending spree with iStencils (gladly!) since hearing about them via you. I also scored with a few reams of the card stock from Staples. My next venture will be using our cricut machine to cut out my own stencil designs. Keep up your great posts and videos - they are a blast!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Gigolo! LOL You'll have tons of fun with your gelli plate using stencils. I don't have a cricut machine, but I've watched some videos showing people cutting stencils with them. Pretty cool. Stay tuned, more to come.
DeleteHi Patti!! It has been awhile since I have seen some of your work and reading your blog...I have been remiss!! My it sounds like you are one very busy girl now lol...good on you :-). I have just ordered a Gelli plate and it should be here by the end of the week...yipeee. I have been teaching art journaling at my local craft store and I now want to do other things to show the girls and keep their interest in arty/crafty thing up! I have become a bit of a stencil ho too lol, I just can't have enough of them. I think that they are an addiction hehehe. One that I won't give up though as they help me make some of the most amazing backgrounds. Keep having fun with your art Patti as you are one talented lady. Janene :-).
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for the nice note. That's so cool that you teach. I've had a few other instructors tell me that I should teach some classes. I may think about that at some point. I need to get over this next month and all the travel for my real job before I can even think about taking on something else. I miss doing my videos though. I'm going to do another one as soon as I have the chance. Where do you teach?
DeleteI added your blog to my reader as soon as I saw your cool wallpaper, then I read it and subscribed to your you tube channel. Can you believe that I just heard of istencils?? A comment on a video using one of them brought me to your blog, happy circumstance, but was sad to see the istencil promo is over. So to cheer me up and get me hooked on istencils, I need to win a few. I have some CW stencils, which got me addicted, and then tried to make my own, but inhaled way too much plastic to do many that way. My stencil allowance is depleted because my computer got zapped during a power outage, the fridge started leaking, the driveway washed out, the water pump in the car went bad (just after warranty expired), and now my dryer is making a stuck pig kinda sound. All this in just a few months. I could use some luck. Or a few magic spells for the dryer. But seriously, I look forward to checking out your youtube vids.
ReplyDeleteWow, you sure have had a run of bad luck! So sorry to hear about that. Seems like those things happen all at once sometimes. This too shall pass, so don't let it get you down! I'm sure iStencils will be up for another coupon code in the future so please stay tuned. I hope you enjoy my videos. More of those to come when I can find the time. Good luck!
DeleteI am addicted to YOU! Your 'you tube' vids are incredible! I picked up the small Geli Plate and started using it in my collage pieces, since that time I have gotten sooooo many compliments on my 'papers' that I was asked to do a few classes this summer to teach kids! We live in a rural area rich in kids but poor in the arts. Students have not had ART for 10 years. A bunch of us are scraping together paints and texture do dads, along with papers of all sorts to put together a class for teenagers. Of course, the class is mostly made up of those students who do not excel in regular studies, and roam the streets out of boredom....but give them something to create...and that becomes an adventure! Right now, all we can afford is one Gelli Plate, but the students are already talking a 'fundraiser' to but more supplies! THIS is how it all starts! Thank you for the inspiration Patty and thank you for the I-Stencil opportunity, you are helping is make an artful town!
ReplyDeleteChar, that's absolutely awesome. What a great idea for you to help teach the kids and give them something to keep them learning and busy. Thanks for the nice note and compliments. Much appreciated. Good luck!
DeleteCongrats to Char - you are one of my winners! I hope you and your students will enjoy the stencils!!!
DeleteHi Patti!
ReplyDeleteI am a stencil horder! My fave and most used are the awesome Istencils....can't get enough of these! You have fueled my addiction even more with your fun vids and awesome discount codes. My Gelli plate and Istencils has kept me 'sane' during some difficult times. Great therapy!
Thank you for the chance to win some istencils to add to my collection. Keep up the great vids!
Thanks so much Shirley! I'm glad you are having so much fun with your gelli plate. It is great therapy and lots of fun. I'd apologize for creating an addiction for you, but its such a fun one I just can't! ;o) Thanks for writing!
DeleteHi Patti, you know (hopefully :-)) that I'm following you for quite a while and my gelli 'style' is much influenced by your very inspiring art and especially your awesome and funny vids. I have nor any very original and/or witty argumentation (I just love the istencils since I finally got my first ones and I also love that they have such a wide range to choose from on the contrary to those stencils you can get here in Germany) neither a tear-jerking charity project; I'm just gelli printing with my three children occasionally - who enjoy these events very much and are very proud of their results. There's hardly a day without gelli prints - for me it's like therapy sometimes, too - and in the meantime the gelli plate is nearly always my first thought when I'm starting a project LOL
ReplyDeleteAnyway, from what I can see in your videos you're definitely a very inspiring and funny person and just as generous as Cheri :-)
Have a great week. Suzanne
Suzanne, thank you for such a great note. I love that your kids like using the gelli plate too. I'd love to see some of your gelli prints. Thank you for following me for so long and for the kind words.
DeleteThank you so much, Patti. I wrote you an e-mail :-) Have a great weekend; Suzanne
DeleteThanks for the email and link to your blog Suzanne. I love your prints! And love your pop of black too! ;o)
DeleteHI Patti!
ReplyDeleteI stumbled across your blog thru Seth's Art Blog Directory and lo and behold your having a Giveaway! I didn't win the $600 million Powerball Lottery but maybe i can win a stencil! So nice to meet you i hope you'll pop over to my blog and say hi! Hugs! deb
PS i just signed up as a follower too!
Hi Deb,
DeleteI was hoping that for lottery win myself, maybe next time! Thanks for signing up. What's the link to your blog? I'd love to see it.
I thought I was a follower already LOL, but it turns out I just added you to my favourites list. I pop in at least weekly to see what you are up to. Enjoy your videos...love the stencils, but unfortunately they are not always easy to find in my area, so would love to win some to give them a try. I have become a stencil junkie...almost as addicting as the Gelli Plate itself.

Hi there,
DeleteThanks for joining my blog and for the nice note. I don't think iStencils sells out of storefronts anywhere. I think they only sell online, but I do know they ship internationally and are very reasonable with their costs.
I'm a stencil ho for sure, so you are in good company! LOL
Thanks for stopping by. I'll check out your blog.
Love your blog Julie! Great stuff!
DeleteI found your youtube channel after I purchased my Gelli Plate and it was very helpful getting me started with different ideas. I now have a one 9x10 and another 8x10 drawing tablet filled front and back with gelli prints. I use a separate 7x10 book to clean my brayer when i'm gelli printing and I now have great backrounds that I use for art journaling. I buy stencils and create my own and cut them out with my electronic die cut machine. It is so fun creating and using the stencils. I love the istencil stencils. And like the girl on the commercial who says "I want more, I want more" I just can't get enough of my gelli plate and stencils. I don't know what it is but it's so much fun. So thanks Patti for the inspiration. Kathy Berg
ReplyDeleteSo happy to hear how much you enjoy your gelli plate and stencils. It really is addicting. A friend of mine said she wondered if there was something embedded in the plate that makes it so addicting! LOL Keep having fun with it and thanks for the nice note.
DeleteSome of my friends call themselves paper wh**es, (Ladies of the night). That would make me the stencil wh*re of the bunch. As such, I'm always looking for new customers ;)
ReplyDeleteKidding aside, stencils are my true weakness. With gelli plate or without, they are my go to tool for painting. Love the pics on your facebook page. Totally got me drooling.
LOL! Guess we're all ho's for one supply or another! I have too many supplies that I can't live without. Stencils are up there on the list for sure. Thanks for stopping by and the nice compliment. I'm uploading a video I just finished as I type this. Should be available later today.
DeleteJust finished watching your iStencil videos on Youtube and enjoyed them very much! I have recently purchased a Gelli plate but have yet to use it ~ need to set aside a day where all I have to do is get inky. Your video was a great inspiration and I plan to make that date with myself in the very near future as I can see how addicting it can be once you get started ;-)
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Aniva. And be forewarned! The gelli plate is addicting, but in a good way! You'll love it. Thanks for stopping by.
DeleteDid I make it go over? You have 200! Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteYAY! You did it Eileen 200!!! I think you should win a little something, don't you? Inbox me your address on FaceBook and I'd be happy to send you a little gift.
DeleteLOL! You're so sweet, Patti! I forgot to say why I should have a stencil! What a bad hair day I'm having!
ReplyDelete
